The Thinking Behind Rift V2
Enduro and gravity riding demand substantial knee protection, especially on rough and technical descents. But getting to the next stage often means pedalling uphill, where flexibility and comfort still matter.
Chromag developed the Rift V2 with protection as the priority, combining CE Level 2 impact protection and extended coverage with a flexible construction that accommodates pedalling. The result is a knee guard built for demanding descents without making the climbs unnecessarily uncomfortable.
Engineered with RHEON Technology
RHEON is an energy-absorbing polymer developed through more than 15 years of research at Imperial College London. The material remains soft and flexible during normal movement but stiffens dynamically under impact, absorbing energy from smaller knocks and higher-force collisions.
Its open-cell structure allows air to circulate and heat to escape while maintaining flexibility. At 430g per pair in size Large, the Rift V2 combines CE Level 2 impact protection with the mobility needed for technical riding.
