Product Details

The Dissector II builds on the original with more grip, control, and predictability. Larger side knobs and revised transitions give smoother cornering, while the split 2-3-2 center tread adds braking bite without losing speed. Quick yet confident on hardpack and rocky trails, it works well as a front on 130–140 mm trail bikes or as a fast rear on 150 mm+ enduro setups. Pair it with a Forekaster or Rekon for a balanced combo.

Technologies

3C MAXXGRIP
The softest, slowest-rebounding rubber option in the Maxxis line. It provides maximum traction and control, most often chosen for downhill or enduro riding where grip is more important than rolling efficiency.

3C MAXXTERRA
An intermediate triple compound that balances grip, rolling speed, and durability. It offers more traction than MaxxSpeed and longer wear with less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, making it a versatile choice for trail riding.

EXO Protection
A lightweight, flexible fabric layer added to the sidewalls for extra resistance against cuts and abrasions. Common on XC, gravel, and light trail tires where riders want a balance of durability and low weight.

EXO+ Protection
A reinforced construction that combines EXO sidewall protection with a butyl insert around the bead. Designed for all-around trail use and light e-bikes, it helps reduce damage from rocks, roots, and rim strikes while keeping weight manageable.

DoubleDown (DD) Casing
A dual-ply 120 TPI casing with a butyl sidewall insert. It’s built for aggressive enduro and e-bike riding, offering a balance between the full downhill casing’s toughness and a lighter, more responsive trail feel.
