A Trail Bike First
The Orbea Rise SL Carbon is built for riders who enjoy the way a regular trail bike climbs, corners, and responds to their input, but wouldn't mind a little help on the way up. With 140mm of travel front and rear, a lightweight OMR carbon frame, and geometry focused on efficient climbing and agile handling, the Rise SL keeps the emphasis on the riding rather than the motor. It's an eMTB for people who still want to put in the effort, pick their lines, and enjoy the descents without feeling like they're managing a much heavier bike.
The Right Kind of Assistance
The new Shimano EP810 gives the 2027 Rise SL up to 100Nm of torque and 600W of peak power, but those numbers only tell part of the story. Orbea's RS tuning is designed to respond to how hard you're pedalling, keeping the assistance predictable rather than making the motor the centre of attention. The updates extend to the bike itself, with revised geometry, more progressive rear suspension, and reduced pedal kickback. With a claimed starting weight of around 17kg and a choice of 420Wh or 630Wh batteries, the Rise SL still prioritizes low weight and the familiar handling of a trail bike.
